The True Republican mentioned the Browne school in their June 7, 1933 edition on page 4. This must have been a picnic for the end of the 1932 - 1933 school year. The school year of the rural schoolhouse appears to have been similar to today's school schedule.
The Kingston Park north of DeKalb and Sycamore was just over 20 miles from the Browne school.
